ORBie settings allow control of sensitivity for the entry and exits, control over direction, and my personal favorite: risk management. ORBie will calculate how many contracts/units you can take within a set max risk per trade and limit the number of trades taken.  When “Do Not Re-Enter On Exit Candle” is checked, ORBie will wait until the next candle for your data series before considering a re-entry (be sure that the Opening Range Duration is a multiple of your timeframe for this to work).

Be sure to set the start time and range duration to your specifications. I use 08:30 for the New York Open Start Time in central time. It will be 09:30 for New York by default.  The Opening Range Duration is low long after the start time to include in your Opening Range.

Quittin’ Time is the duration in minutes that ORBie will look for trades (after the start time). The New York session is 390 minutes.
