Magic Levels
for NinjaTrader & TradingView
Magic Levels are automagically calculated and plotted at the open of each trading day for Futures, Stocks, Crypto… pretty much anything with a chart!
Daily, Weekly, and Monthly levels are included. Monthly levels will appear the thickets, as they are the strongest, followed by the medium thick Weekly levels and more fine Daily levels. For day trading, including all 3 sets of levels should offer multiple level thoughts each day on most assets most days. When find tuning swing targets, Magic Levels offer areas to watch for an intra-day entry while watching an idea develop on a higher timeframe chart.
Paired with VWAP and/or an Moving Average for trend, the Magic Levels offer quick and easy entries and targets for breakout and reversal traders — without the need to chart multiple assets each and evert day.

What are the Magic Levels?
The Magic Levels are a set of Monthly, Weekly, and Daily levels based on systems used by institutions, funds, and professional day traders to predict likely price levels where price action is likely to react.
Daily Magic Levels are the thinnest and easiest to break, but can be used by intra-day traders, especially scalpers. Weekly and Monthly Magic Levels are fairly strong and price is highly likely to react on the first, as well as later, touches.
These are levels I once calculated manually each day for the products I trade, then I coded the math into an indicator to make my pre-market routine easier. In addition to major levels of Support and Resistance from higher timeframe charts, Magic Levels are great places to enter and exit the market with confirmations from price action or other indicators.
How Do TheyWork?
Magic Levels make calculations based on previous price action to methodically and systematically — just like the Big Guy’s high dollar algorithms.
After loading Magic Levels ro TradingView or NinjaTrader, you’ll have the option to change the color and style of the lines in the user settings.
Some users prefer trading with only the higher timeframe level sets. NinjaTrader, you’ll find checkboxes to optionally show each set of levels.Â
In TradingView, change the color to transparent to hide line sets you don’t want to see.
Colors and line thickness can be set or each set of lines. To keep charts clean, by default, all lines are the same color, but stronger (higher timeframe) levels will be thicker. You are welcome to change these colors and settings to your preference.
In NinjaTrader, be sure to load data for the number of days back you’d like to see Magic Levels in the Data Series. In TradingView, there will be settings for the number of days, weeks, and months back you’d like to load your levels.
Then, it’s as simple as loading your favorite tickers to the chart and letting the Magic Levels do their magic. At each session open, the lines will adjust for Futures, Stocks, ETFs, Crypto, & more.
When price reaches a Magic Level, we can look for an entry. Classic price action patterns and volume set-ups often occur at or very near to levels, especially groups of levels.
We can watch for price to slice through a level with volume for a breakout…
Or weaken into a level for a reversal.
Often, we will see turns on the MoRoll indicator at Magic Levels. When we see confluence between a level and the MoRoll rolling over, we can have more confidence in our trades.
If this or any other indicator is not loading properly on your chart, try duplicating the chart into a new tab or window as this often fixes data load errors.
